Men’s Safe & Sober Housing Program
Bethesda House in Sandpoint
A great place for healing in a comfortable peaceful environment.
For Men
Men seeking freedom from the bondage of substance abuse.
Preparing for Life
Through Christ-centered development and mentoring, we prepare each man for healing and freedom.

Freedom House, Bethesda:
This house was generously provided through a local businessman whose heart is to see men have a place to heal and get free. In John 5 Jesus goes to the Pool of Bethesda and talks to a man unable to reach the waters where miracles happened.
When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” – John 5:6
Jesus then calls the man to do the impossible and to rise up and walk in John 5:8-9
Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.
Jesus heals, and we want to help each man take up their bed, rise up and walk. Healing and freedom are available and we know that all who are willing can be made well.
Safe & Sober Housing Program for Men
Bethesda provides a safe and sober transitional housing program for men who embrace recovery from their drug and/or alcohol addiction. The main objective of Freedom House, Inc. is to provide a loving and supportive Christian environment where these men have the opportunity to be set free from addiction through the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Freedom House has worked in collaboration with the Bonner County Drug Court program in developing the guidelines for administrating the facility, and applicants participating in that program will have first priority for residency at Bethesda.
Applications from men who are not Drug Court participants will be considered based on available accommodations.
