This iconic Sandpoint landmark was a Bed and Breakfast destination for Bonner County visitors for over 25 years. Freedom House purchased this beautiful Victorian mansion in 2020.

Ministry Needs & Opportunities

There are many ways you can partner in ministry with those called to serve at Sweet Magnolia, from prayer to provisions to volunteering your skills to mentoring. Please contact the team at Freedom House to participate.

Safe & Sober Housing Program for Women

The Freedom House Sweet Magnolia women’s recovery program offers safe and sober transitional housing for women seeking to escape the bondage of addiction in a compassionate and loving environment.

Freedom House is a Christ-centered ministry.  Sweet  Magnolia  guests  are expected to attend worship services, participate in weekly Bible studies and complete the Life’s Healing Choices step recovery program.  Attendance at AA and NA meetings is also supported.

Guests are required to obtain employment and to cooperate with their assigned case manager in developing and completing agreed upon life goals

Other program requirements are outlined in the “Rules and Expectations” section of this website.

More Information

All residents will be expected to participate in regular Bible-based studies and attend the Life Skills Training program which will be offered in house. Residents will also be encouraged to enter into a mentoring relationship, and to attend the Christian church of their choice.

Applications for residency at The Sweet Magnolia are available at this website, through our office at phone #208-263-6153, through the Bonner County Drug Court program, and through the Chaplaincy ministry at Bonner County Jail.

The house rules and expectations for the Safe & Sober Housing program at Sweet Magnolia are shown below. SM Expectations Rules 2022

Once your application has been received, it will be processed within 48 hours. You will be contacted for an interview or for denial of housing. Then, if you are accepted, you will receive instructions for “Move-in Day.” Thank you for choosing Sweet Magnolia Safe & Sober Housing as your housing provider for sober living. We look forward to meeting you soon!
